Man with Knife Allegedly Invades Travis Scott and Tyla Music Video Set in UK

Travis Scott performs at the Something In The Water Festival in Virginia Beach, VA on April 27, 2019.

A music video set for global artists Travis Scott and Tyla was reportedly thrown into chaos after a man allegedly threatened a crew member with a knife. The incident occurred on Wednesday on a quiet street in north London, where the two stars were filming their new video.

According to a report from The Sun, a man kept walking onto the set, which was heavily staffed with crew and security. When a crew member approached him to ask him to leave, the man is alleged to have pulled out a blade and made threats. An onlooker described the event as “terrifying for everyone,” noting that Tyla was quickly taken off the set and production went into lockdown, while Travis Scott was already in a secure location.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating the incident. In a statement, a police spokesperson said that a man flagged down officers to report that he had been threatened with a knife. Officers located a 29-year-old man matching the description, who resisted being searched. He was placed in handcuffs, and during the search, officers recovered Class B drugs and cash. Notably, no knife was found.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug and an offense under the public order act. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
